I am 25 years old with my own transportation. I recently graduated from Penn's second degree Nursing program in December.  I will begin work as a pediatric nurse at CHOP in early March, which leaves me available to babysit for much of February.  I have lots of experience working with children and have babysat for several sittercity families. I also have experience with large families. In addition to more than 10 years of babysitting experience, I have worked as a counselor at a 6 week long daycamp for 2-4 year olds for two summers and have worked as an aide to special needs children at a daycamp for middle schoolers. For two years, I had the opportunity to volunteer a few hours a week at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis where I spent time with children on the inpatient floors and in the infant care center. While attending Carleton College, Read more I ran a weekly library story hour program. Further, in high school, I participated in an early education class for 3 years which involved helping out at a nursery school.  During my BSN coursework at the University of Pennsylvania, I had 2 clinical rotations at CHOP.  Because of this nursing program, I have completed multiple background checks and can provide a copy of my child abuse clearance.  My ultimate goal is to complete my masters of nursing and become a nurse practitioner in pediatric critical care and neonatology.  As you can see, I have a real passion for working with children. Other fun facts: I have attended a study abroad program in Tanzania where I learned Swahili and a marine biology program in Australia and New Zealand. I recently returned from a nursing trip to Thailand where we examined the differences between US and Thai healthcare systems. For two years I worked as the lead receptionist at a medical lab in Minneapolis, MN. I am also a twin.
