I am the oldest of 6 children, ages 13-28. I am proficient in Spanish. I have several years experience as a swim instructor and camp counselor at the South Hills Area YMCA (in Pittsburgh, where I am from). I have been trained as an EMT-Basic and volunteered in John Carroll University's Emergency Medical Services while attending college. I graduated from John Carroll University in 2004. Afterwards, went to Houston, TX to volunteer for a year with immigrants. I returned to Ohio in 2005 and went to medical school at the University of Toledo. I left after 2 1/2 years because I realized it wasn't a good fit for me. So I moved to Columbus to go to the Ohio State University for a Masters degree in Social Work.
