Katherine’s Bio
I have experience with Alzheimers because of my grandmother. She was diagnosed 8 years before she passed away. During this time I helped take care of her and I volunteered in the nursing home that she was moved into after she became immobile. My grandfather had type 2 Diabetes and Parkinsons disease. I also helped care for him during the last year of his life. I have a quite extensive backround with Diabetes because of my aunt. She passed away recently from complications from type 1 Diabetes and ovarian, uterine, and kidney cancer. She lived at my house for 5 months in which I cared for her 24 hours a day. I helped her with all of her needs including administering insulin and other medications. I have completed a nursing assistant course and have an AA in pre-nursing. I will soon be taking the certification test and plan to start nursing school in the fall of 2012
