I have been working with children of all ages for over 5 years. I gained most of my experience working at Children's World Learning Center in Federal Way, Washington. Since last November(2006) I've been in Houston, Texas where I work as a full-time nanny for a great family. At childrens world I lead the Transitional preschool classroom. As the lead teacher I did all the lesson plans and preparation including but not limited to: science projects and sensory activities, art and craft projects, fine motor/manipulative activities, gross motor and exercise, dramatic play games, and most importantly a lot of reading. The family I work for now includes two small boys ages 5 months and 20 months and their 10 year old sister. I work full time Monday through Thursday and am looking to pick up an odd job or two on the weekends. I love children's books and think "early Read more literary" is an important step in the success of a young student. Everything I do for the children I care for promotes self-confidence and social competence. I understand that every child is a unique individual, and make a point to get to know and fully understand their needs.
