My name is Patricia, I'm looking for permanent / part time job (8am to 5pm with some flexibility) it could be 2,3 or 4 days a week according to the family needs. I have a lot experience with newborns, young and multiple children. I know how to play with children, how to teach them, how to make them laugh, how to make them sleep. I can be fun and also an educator to them. I will never stay with them all day in front of the TV. I want to be more than a babysitter I want to be a person that parents can trust their children, to educate at home, to teach them good manners, to teach them to respect for older people, to take care of them. In summer 2001 I have prepared for the au pair program and worked with small children. I worked at a kindergarten and was caring for children between1 and 2 years old. I helped the teacher with her duties, such as: playing with the children, caring, feeding, changing dippers, cleaning, teaching and exercising. In August 2002 I lived with a wonderful American host family in Vernon Hills – Illinois, they have 2 children they were 2 and 4 years old. I was responsible for all relating to the children. When I finished successfully my Au Pair program I moved to Chicago downtown because I had to attend School, at this time I started to work part time. The family has 2 children and I have been with the family for 8 years. My principal duties were: meal preparation, clothing organization and laundry, light housekeeping. With the children my duties were creating activities and workshops for the kids, taking them to museums, parks and playgrounds, organizing and hosting play-dates with friends, reading to them, doing arts & crafts, and playing educational games and music. Also I have experience with multiple children (3-4). I will describe one of my experiences with a set of twins and little sister my duties were very similar but our activities were thought for group of children. I was able to manage and keep the children safe and happy. I have been with the twins for a period of 3 years since the twins were 6 weeks old. . Because of my experience as a nanny I have been hired for Chicago Athletic Clubs taking care of children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. I have been CPR and First Aid certificate for the last 8 years and I have other certificates related to childcare such us Dr. Harvey Karp method of sleeping and soothing babies, successful homework techniques, Toddler Sleep and Potty Solutions, Sleep and Nursery Safety.
