Hello, My name is Jenn Kelly. I am 33 years old and I have been a nanny for the past 10 years. I am also a licensed massage therapist, working both in home as well as in a medical spa. I am originally from Boston and am now living in Pacific Beach. I have enjoyed working with children of all ages for many years. My experience includes teaching toddler and preschool classrooms, camp counseling, instructing art classes and nannying/babysitting for many families for about 12 years. I have many facets of experience and have even worked as a clown! I have experience with special needs as well, as I worked as a teacher's aide in a classroom for children on the autism spectrum. I have a passion for art and earned my Associates degree in Studio Art in 2003. I feel lucky when I am able to combine my passion Read more for art with my love for children. I am very active, creative, and have a very positive outlook on life. I am extremely supportive and truly enjoy helping to guide children through the challenges each age brings. Communication and trust is very important to me. I have a great imagination and value patience. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have excellent references and driving record I can provide upon request. Please send me any questions you may have. Thanks! Jenn (617)678-6837 reconcilemassagetherapy.com

Jenn was terrific when we met her in person. We offered her a position to watch our 2 children and she accepted. She said she "raved" about us on the phone to her husband after the interview. At the interview she stated she was available Tues evenings, Wednesdays and Fridays. After she accepted our offer, I proceeded to tell my boss that I could work those hours and he put me on the schedule (I am a hospital pharmacist) for Wed and Fri for the next 5 week schedule. I emailed the schedule to Jenn and she said it was "all good". Jenn was supposed to come and spend a "training day" with me next week but called Sat (9 days before I start working) and told me she accepted another position that offered health benefits and she would be unable to babysit for me. I asked her why she couldn't have at least fulfilled her commitment to me for even a few weeks and tell the new job she could start in a few weeks, but she had no answer for that. Basically she chose to leave me high and dry with no childcare 9 days before I start working. We thought she was terrific, but she turned out to be our worst nightmare.
